My husband and I put our house up for sale a couple years ago because he was in an apprentice program and we were trying to hold on until he could make more money. I need help paying my mortgage and monthly bills

I don\'t need an exact amount of money...I\'m just hoping people out there who read this will give me whatever amount they can. I can\'t afford to repay anyone, but would greatly appreciate the help.

In 2005, I divorced my second husband and bought a house for myself and my two sons. I was working a good job, full-time at the time, making a decent wage, so I could easily afford my house, utilities and living expenses. I never would have bought a house had I known I would soon lose my job. But it happened. Within 6 months of buying my house, I did lose my job. I was unemployed just short of a year. At the time, unemployment benefits weren\'t extended for 20 more weeks, then 20 more, the way they are now. I exhausted my benefits, and racked up unbelievable credit card debt just trying to make ends meet.

I finally got a part-time job, making minimum wage- a job that I am still at. I live in Michigan where the unemployment rate is one of the highest in the nation. Jobs are hard to come by...jobs paying over minimum wage, even harder.
Two years ago I filed for bankruptcy but didn\'t include my house. I need a place to live...my kids need a home. Last year, I had to have surgery and ended up getting a deathly infection. I almost died twice. I was off work for nearly 5 months. It took me several months to get back to being able to work more than 3 hours a day. My surgeries left me with some major aches and limitations.
I am now working as much as possible, and am going to college to get a degree in Accounting.
I don\'t consider myself lazy or a slacker. I\'m a hard worker who is trying my best to get an education, work as many hours as possible, and keep my home and pay my bills. Because of my income status, I don\'t qualify for Obama\'s Making Home Affordable plan. Apparently I don\'t make enough money and am considered likely to become deliquent on my mortgage again in the future. I don\'t know where else to turn!

I am sending this message requesting your help.
I am a non traditional college student aggressively re entering the educational environment. And, since I am re entering the classroom setting, after completing my Bachelor of Arts degree in 2006, followed by 3 unsuccessful years of job hunting, I am financially strapped and have no money to continue to pay for my education.
The major that I have chosen to study is nursing. I hope to eventually become a second degree bachelor holder, with a BSN in nursing. To date I am on the correct path in achieving this goal. After applying Drexel University’s Accelerated School of Nursing program, in P.A., I was provisionally accepted to attend the spring class of March, 2010, (once I complete the last two pre requisite classes needed to begin.) However, it saddens to me to realize that an opportunity of this magnitude could possibly slip right pass me, due to the lack financial aid.
I have applied for educational financial aid, grants, scholarships and student loans. Being a non traditional student, I do not qualify for sufficient funding toward the requested tuition amount. As for student loans, banks have changed the criteria to which they are willing to lend funds too. One has to have impeccable credit and or a co signer. I was a ward of the state that aged out of New Jerseys, foster care system. So, I have no co signer and bare very little credit. Every door I am knocking on to become an asset in today’s society, remains closed.
I would like to extend an offer for your help. A donation of any amount of money would be useful toward the tuition request amount of thirty seven thousand dollars to attend Drexel University, ACE Nursing program. Although I was provisionally accepted for March 2010, I have decided to delay my start date for September 2010, due to lack of funding. I had to delay my start day once, please help me in avoiding another start date-delay.
