Hardworker needs money for rent

Hi,
My husband and I recently moved to Texas for a new job opportunity. He works for a beverage distributor and makes minimum wage while in school. I\'m a nurse but they are having trouble getting all the paperwork they need to give me a start date. Unfortunately, I make most of the money and have been out of work for 4 weeks now. I\'ve called numerous times a day and have even sat a the Human Resources office 3 days per week, in hopes of making it go faster. No luck. To make things more stressful, my 10 year old cat had to have emergent abdominal surgery for an obstruction, which depleted all of our savings. We are currently 15 weeks pregnant as well. We are just 2 good hardworking people in a tough spot. We desperately need $1600, but anything will help. We are new to the area, so we don\'t know anyone. If there are any kind souls out there able to help us, we would be SOOO apreciative!!! Thanks in advance...
