To Support Family

To start off let me tell you alittle about myself , I am a 58 years old male who worked since I was thirteen . Joined the Marine Corp at 18 , volunteered for Vietnam where I was wounded twice. Discharged from the Marines at 22 where I promptly went to college and got my degree in Chemistry. All of the places that I worked at after being there for 7 to 10 years all sold out to bigger labs until this last one after eight years there outsourced my job to Ireland. Somewhere in those years I got married and have three daughters to raise. Having been laid-off in Dec 2008 that last part of my statement is getting harder and harder to do. I\'ve looked and looked , offered to work for allot less money then I need to live on , and nothing. Went to the major department stores to try to get a job there only to learn that those places are closing down too. My youngest daughter told me that she would sell oranges on the side of the street to help out , I gratefully declined her help and t!
hanked her for her offer , dying alittle inside and turning away from her so she could not see her Father tear up for her concern. She then told me that she would ask all of her friends for a dollar and give me that dollar to help, again I thanked her but told her that amount of money would not help plus I do not want her taking monies from her friends. She then told me to write this letter and ask everybody who knew what it was like to be too old to get a job but no old enough to live without a job , who knew what it is like to not eat a meal so your children could eat and still see that what they ate was not enough , for everybody with just a bit of compassion to understand. All that I ask for is just a single dollar mailed to me, Although you do know who I am I promise if you do do this I will send you back something from my house as a gift of thanks to you.
