Now homeless, sleep in the streets

A year ago, I was laid off. Couldn\'t afford rent and became homeless. Then, to top it all off, my truck was impounded due to unpaid registration. I have been trying here in North Hollywood to find anything, but with no luck yet. Being on the street makes it that much more difficult. Survival...Medical Bills, Electric & Water Bill

I feel so pathetic - I am sure a lot of other people feel that way posting here as well...but I never thought it would get to this point.

Last year - I herniated a disc in my back (L4/L5). Back pain is something undescribable and the amount of empathy/sympathy I have gained for those with back pain is amazing! It really affects your whole well being, mental status and emotions. With no Short/Long term disability benefit offered with the small business I worked for , and being out of work for nearly a year....My family and I thus ended up in a financial hole that we can\'t seem to crawl out of! We are really thankful that we had health insurance, but now and now my portions are due and being sent to collections.

In the mix of all this, we also are a family of animal hearts - we have 2 dogs and 3 cats that managed to find their way to OUR home. God gave us the responsibility to protect and love these animals...and that is what we do! They are treated as our kids and we provide the best we can for them. Just recently we lost our kitty to liver failure and the two weeks prior to her passing, we had to spend close to $2000 to try and save her as she was too young to lose...just a couple weeks ago - we lost a dog to cancer at the young age of 7 and again - we did everything we could for him, bringing us $3000 further in debt. The strain of \"bad luck\" has just befallen our family and we can\'t do this on our own... We just need a fresh start - $11,000 would clear our names of all debt...we do have bad credit for choices made in our late teen years - but for the last 6 years, have lived strictly on the cash coming in...we have no credit cards!!

After a heated conversation with a friend I have set myself a challenge to raise a $100,000 dollars for charity within the next 12 months.

I FEEL THE EFFECTS OF THE RECESSION AND I MAY NOT HAVE ANY CHILDREN BUT I KNOW IN MY MIND THAT I CANNOT LET MY TALENTS GO TO WASTE. I AM VERY SMART, I HAVE A HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA AND HOPE TO GET IN COLLEGE OR AT LEAST BACK ON MY FEET SO I CAN HELP TEENS AND CHILDREN WITH GUIDANCE. I WANT TO SOMEDAY OPEN A YOUTH CENTER FOR CHILDREN WHO NEED DIRECTION AND COUNSELING. ALL IM ASKING RIGHT NOW IS ENOUGH MONEY TO BUY A SMALL CAR TO GET TO POINT A AND B. TO GET TO A JOB AND SOMEWHERE WHERE I CAN MAYBE SLEEP UNTILL I FIND A STABLE JOB. I DONT HAVE MUCH TIME AND WITH ALL THE PRAYING I DO IT SEEMS LIKE MY TIME IS RUNNING OUT FASTER THAN I EXPECTED. I DONT WANT TO LIVE ON THE STREETS AND I HAVE A BIG HEART AND WILL HELP !

I\'ve never even dreamt of doing anything like this before, and have no absolutely no idea how to go about it but hey... My name is Jon, I\'m a 25 year old graduate who\'s delayed getting a \'proper\' career because my only, desperate dream is to be a professional musician. I was recently made redundant from the building job I was working to try and allow me to concentrate on music at the same time-then went on to find another (pretty terrible!) job only to have my working hours cut back to next to nothing recently...
£10,000 so that I could pay back my parents (who\'ve been great but don\'t have much themselves) and my girlfriend what they\'ve so kindly given to me, and to be able to afford to carry on working my rubbish job so that I can give my music dream everything I\'ve got for just 1 more year would be truly amazing!

To keep from losing my car and job.

I am working and have been. My touble started when I lost my job and was out of work for 2 years. I used all my retirement to keep us afloat for five year. I now owe the government about 17,000 for penalities amd I lost me house last year to forclosure. my family is now living in a trailer with no heat or air. I need $3599-4000 ti get a new system. I have not been able to save any of the money for that and now i am on the verge of losing my carm I am two months behind ($600) and am about to get my light and phone/internet shut off. My lisgt bill is $180 behind, telephone is #300 behind and I just can\'t get cought up. I am paying over @200 dollars a week in gas to get back and fotrth to work and that is over double what it was in the past. After we pay for gas and lot rent there is nothing left for anything. I have been going places hunting for food for my family for the past couple of months and thing are not getting any better. I am open to any suggestions on my iotions. I!
