I want to major in Statistics at a UC. I have always had between a 3.5 and 4.0 GPA. I have been applying for scholarships with no success so far. I am a senior in high school and will graduate June 1st, 2009. Somewhere To Sleep

I need enough money to move me out of my parents\' home and also to buy a new bed. All of my possessions were removed and auctioned by the storage company, including my bed. Custody battle for an abused child

My name is Charity, I am the mother of 3 and I am currently seeking help for lawyer fees. My fiance and I are trying to gain full custody of his 7 yr old son, J. We have temporary custody now of him but need to obtain full custody. J was involved in a dirt bike accident 2 weeks ago. His birth mother in her ignorance let J ride with no gear at all. As a result he suffered a broken ankle, fractured arm, 3 broken ribs, and was taken in for emergency brain surgery. He had a concussion and the swelling increased and surgery was the only way to save him. He just came out of a coma 3 days ago. He still has a 4 week stint in the hospital before he can come home to us. Thank God we have insurance to help with the hospital bills. The hospital reported her to children services and that is how we have J now. They told us that until the investigation is complete J will stay with us. His birth mother has been investigated 3 times prior to this and they have still let her continue to care !
for him. I lost my close friend a little over a month ago due to the same type of accident. No gear, high speeds, misjudging his distance and he is now gone. He had a choice not to wear his gear and it cost him greatly. J wasn\'t given a choice, his birth mother told him it was too hot to wear it and walked away leaving him to ride alone, it was over an hour before she even realized that J had been hurt. He was hurt because of her ignorance. I can\'t even explain how torn apart my soul was when we learned of J being hurt the same way my friend was. We can NOT let him go back to her regardless what children services says, they have failed to do their job the previous 3 times and we almost lost J as a result. We have obtained an amazing lawyer that has the capabilities of helping us win hands down to keep J with us for good. But an amazing lawyer comes with amazing fees. We know though that with his help J will be ours and he will be safe. I have drained my savings account t!
o pay the $250.00 an hour fees, and my fiance\'s are near empty also.
Our lawyer has secured custody for 2 other fathers that we are friends of ours that had a weaker custody case then we do now. I KNOW he will be able to deliver J to us but we need help to continue his services, our funds are exhausted and we are just able to make the day to day bills. Or being woke up by him whipping me with guitar strings, or hot water, amonia, firewood thrown on me as I slept became usual. I lived in fear, told when to speak, what to wear, how to act. It wasn\'t until he whipped our daughter one day and drug her by her hair that I got the courage to leave. I fled that night with my two kids, not a dime to my name or clothes other than what was on our backs. He destroyed everything of ours, photos of the kids growing up, clothes, everything. I didn\'t have the courage to fight him in divorce because he always won at anything he did and I was still afraid of him. I wouldn\'t even t!

I recently lost my job two months ago. I have since been searching actively for a new job, with no success. My husband and I have used all of our resources possible to maintain our monthly bills. I\'m a 60 yr old female. I live on disability. I live in a very small camper 20\' long and a 1978. Not well insulated and not in good shape. I drive a 1985 Chevey Blazer. It too is in bad shape. For $10,000.00 I can get a good vehicle and bigger, better insulated camper. I live in a camper because it\'s cheaper than renting a house or apt and paying the utilities on them. I drive a 1985 Chevy Blazer. It\'s in pretty bad shape. I live in a 20\' long (very small) 1978 camper. It has a lot of problems with plumbing and not well insulated. Winters are cold in Kansas. I can afford the lot rent because my utilities are included, but need a bigger camper. A good used camper that\'s big enough and well insulated would cost about $6,500.00 around here and I would need about $3,500.00 for a good vehicle. I am a 24 year old single foster mother of my to my niece and nephew. I have had them since he was 8 now hes 10 and I have had her since she was born now she is 16 months old. My crack head sisters boyfriend has hire a really good attorney who is trying to get them back. She refuses to take a drug test and has no job and wont go to rehab. I go to school and i take care of them. I have never done drugs, smoked or drank before . I want to get a lawyer to fight her. social service gives these people up to five years its been two and now it has to end. I want to fight to get her parental rights taken away so I can adopt them. I have called around and this is going to be expensive around 850.00 a month I am working on getting the money together but it has been hard. The state does not help because all they say their goal is to get the family together. my sister is crazy and had hurt her son in many ways before. Single Mom cancer survivor needs to get life back

Hi There! I am a single mom to a five year old daughter. I never thought anything bad could happen to me, but over a year ago, I was diagnosed with cancer. Thankfully, I am in remission now, but with no medical insurance, and not being able to work, our lives are in shambles. I am in need of 3,500 to pay for fines and court fees. I was released from jail March of last year and have been unsuccessful at obtaining a job. Since my release I have been dependent on modeling as a job right now. Despite my criminal history, by dedicating to lead my life in the right path I have been inspiration as well as a role model to many people and models I\'ve been able to meet. Hello, my name is Faith Gibson and I am 16 years old. I am writting to you to help my Mom. She is 48 and the mother of 7 children and 5 grandchildren. She is the greatest Mom in the world and my best friend. Well I am the youngest child in our family and the youngest son is a boy my Mom took into our home after his mother died from a long fight with cancer. His name is Ben and he was 16 at the time his mother passed. He had no one to go to or anywhere to live. He had no other family except for his mother. My Mom took him in, cared for him, provided for him, and loved him as if she had given birth to him as her own. Ben is now 18 and is graduating for bootcamp an Sept. 11 in Ft. Benning, GA. My Mom has taken on a second job since Ben left to pay for the trip to see him graduate. But even with a second job she is still unable to afford to go. We are the only family Ben has, no one else will be there to see him if we aren\'t. My Mom is heartbroken to the point of tears. I have !
