My mother has cancer

My mother was diagnosed with cancer. She is unable to work, and the chemo and radiation are taking their toll.

She was making about $700.00 a month, which was just enough for her to get by on her small state pension. Without the job, she doesn\'t have enough now.

I\'ve been helping her as much as I can, with buying her the extra food she needs and nutritional products that will help her while undergoing treatment. And I\'ve been giving her as much money as I can, but that\'s very limited (I am a single mother with 3 children, income about $1200.00 per month, ex behind by over $40K in support so no help there).

So far, most of Mom\'s medical expenses have been covered by Medicare (but we don\'t know if they will cover everything).

It would be so helpful if I was able to come up with some money to help my mother - she\'s running at a $700.00 deficit, minus whatever I can give her.

This cancer is vicious, and I would like for her to be able to focus on getting well, rather than worrying whether or not she can pay to keep her house or utilities on. And right now, I do not know if she will be able to return to work (I pray she will, but I don\'t know whether the treatments are working yet), and even if she can, it will be some time before that could happen.

My family

My family and I are struggling just like everyone else. We have applied for food stamps and got denied. We have no car, I sold it to pay bills and put food on our plates. I make the sacrifices so that my family is taking care of. We are a tight family. We do things together. Hello there, I am a high school student whom is about to enter her senior year. Throughout the school year, I have noticed that many of my assignments require the use of the internet, and/or the use of a computer, so that I can type my assignments and/or do some research. I am a 29 year old female who has been plagued with \"murphy\'s Law\" for the last 6 years. After living addicted to heroin for almost a decade, I finally got clean six years ago; shortly after I was diagnosed with Hepatitis c. I was working 2 jobs and back in college with a full time class load whe I started the interferon treatment needed to put the hepatitis into remission. The interferon made me very ill, and I was unable to finish the semester. I was also forced eentually to quit one of the 2 jobs, leaving me with ery little financially. After the treatment was done, (which was paid for by a trial I researched to participate in) I was told that it had not worked; I had just given up the small foothold I had regained for nothing. Oer the past four years I have tried to gte back on track, but I have not been able to- one full time job on the graveyard shift makingminimum wage doesn\'t een cover the rent. I have a five year old son who I can barley affoird daycare fo!
r, and I struggle to stay awake during the time I am home with him just sothat we have sometime together. I\'m liing in a place that is falling apart and I\'m months behind on the bills- in and excess of almost 10,000.00 including medical (the trial paid for the treatment, but since it didn\'t work I have been in and out of doctors offices for other options). While human services provided insurance for my son- a great relief- Imake toomuch to qualify myslef. I manage to pay one bill every check, and i scrape by, until something unpredictable happens- for example, my car breaks down every other month it seems. I\'e putmore in repairs in the last year than I paid for it. It\'s not that I amlazy or don\'t want to work- because I work hard- it\'s just not enough. I have never had to ask for help, but now I have no choice. I have been diagnosed with hepatitis c. I am no longer able to work, and I want to live. I have 3 beautiful sons whom I want to see grow up. The medication that may help me is called , and it costs over $2,000. a month. I will need to be on this treatment for 48 weeks. I had surgery on my knee and I am going to be out of work for another couple of months according to the doctor. I have already been out of work 2 1/2 months with no income. Hello. I\'ve been a health women all of my life until March 22, 2008. One day I started having trouble breathing. I went through the ER, and within 2 hours found out I had blood clots in my lungs. It\'s called Pulmonary Embolism or P.E. I\'ve never been sick a day in my life, now this. The doctors don\'t know why it even happened. Now as a result of this I have blood drawn every week to check my PT and INR numbers ($54 everytime), I see the doctor once a month and I\'m on the blood thinner Warfarin. I have to have X-rays every couple of months and I do not have insurance, I can\'t get insurance because of this. This may go on for about a year. My bills are coming up on $10,000. Secure housing

Help We just found out that our trailer lot is being sold out from underneath us. We have lived here for 12 years. We own our 1974 trailer but not the lot. We do not have any guarentees that we will be allowed to remain on the lot. Most trailer parks sold around here are turned into condos or higher income properties. Also Missoula has limits on where you can have a trailer as old as ours. We would probably not be able to find a lot within 50 miles from here. That means in order for my husband to work here we would have to give up our trailer. We can\'t afford gas to drive that far. I thought I had achieved the American Dream by purchasing a home. Being disable with two Special Needs Children, fixed budget etc but it came true in 2005. Problem is I got riped off by a little old lady and the roofing company. The roof was suppose to be new put on in 2003 First leak was in 2006 then 2007. I called in December and noone came out until Jan 2008. By this time I had 4 rooms in my home with water damage. when they finally came out and looked at all the damage, they told me that the warranty is no longer transferable. I have called everyone I can think of and Southern Industries says since I didn\'t purchase the roof and they can\'t help me. I had 2 different companies come out and they said the roof was put on backwards and my Insurance Adjuster won\'t file a claim because the water damage comes from the roof from shoddy workmanship. So If anyone out there is a contractor and willing to donate thier time my children and I would be ever grateful. All I have said!

i want to go to college to get a degree how ever i have no family left alive that can help and i turn 50 this year. i just went down and got my GED and started priceing courses and books and was dumbfounded at the cost of every thing ,food houseing and school ? am applying for a pell grant but there is no way that will cover much at all. Mortgage and Medical Bills

My family and I need $15,000 to pull our house out of foreclosure and to pay my wife\'s medical bills off. We tried to keep things going but my wife has been ill for nearly 6 months and we just can\'t handle the debt load. So anything that you can donate will be appreciated. We have until 8/20/2008 to save the house.

We are not happy about asking for a hand out. We are willing to sell the house for what we owe which is $294,000. The house is beautiful and sits on 6 acres, wooded with great views. It’s appraised at $368,000. We also have a 2.5 acre wooded lot in the mountains that we would be willing to sell for $68,000. It also has a mortgage on it as well that we are paying.
