DESPERATE - LOSING CHILDREN, HOUSE AND EVERYTHING

I am a lone father of two children. Two and a half years ago we were a happy and contented family living in our own home.

The following is a list of the unbelievable series of disasters which have happened since that time.

1. I contracted a serious kidney infection which lowered my blood presure so much that for 18 months I was unable to work or drive. I am self employed and therefore had 0 income during this time.

2. My savings were wiped out when the holding company of the bank I was with went into liquidation due to massive debts.

3. After my illness I returned to work thinking all would be ok now but after five and a half months of work and a seeming reluctance to pay me the company I was working for also went bust leaving me with nothing for the work I had done.

4. I could not keep up my mortgage payments and eventually had to sell the house for a net loss.

5. I have today made a doctors appointment as I fear that my previous illness may have returned.

I could go on with a list as long as your arm but you get the idea and if I told you everything the whole tale would be almost unbelievable.

So now I am sitting on a debt well into 5 figures and living in rented accomodation but currently being threatened with eviction. My two children who I love dearly are reluctantly living with their mother as I have no means to support them. To put it bluntly their mother is not what anyone could call a good mum and their lives are incredibly miserable at the moment. I feel physically sick every time I think of them and what they are going through.

And now I am here through no fault of my own but all the same more desperate than you could imagine. If it wasn\'t for my kids I would probably end it all right now. But I can\'t do that so I am humbly pleading for any help you can give us to get our lives back on track and reunite us as a family.

It\'s a scarry situation when your boss comes up to you and tells you that due to the low economy the company will be closed on Fridays, reducing your hours to 36 a week.
Well, that\'s what happened to me.
That would be all fine and dandy... if my car payments weren\'t $400 a month, $200 a week in gas, $760 a month for rent, plus utilities, plus credit card dept, plus food.

Donations needed for resue puppy's surgery

I just picked up my new rescue foster puppy from a local Spca.He is a 4 month old American Bulldog mix. I was told that he had an injured right front leg but had NO idea how bad it was until now! I picked him up and took him directly to our vet. It turns out that his elbow is completely broken in half. He needs a very complicated and expensive ($2000.00) surgery immediately! He will get it today or tomorrow. The worst part of it all is that this poor dog sat at the SPCA for 9 days without anyone ever examining his leg or helping him in any way. I am apalled! Medical Bills from attempted murder

I am a single mother, having had to raise my kids on my own as my ex husband abandoned us and was a dead beat dad. My son and his friends were randomly jumped on April 5th by gang members and my son has a brain hemorrhage, staples in a big gash in his head and a broken jaw he had to have surgery on and it is wired shut. In the last year, I have had a few financial setbacks. First, my daughter\'s biological father was investigated for incest...what a way to start out the year. Between the court hearings, attorney meetings, DFS meetings, counseling sessions and daily life, I lost my job. I was able to find a weekend job as a bartender for a few months, but that barely took care of anything. Then in July last year, I was in a high speed car accident that left me in a neck brace and such for a few weeks. Then, the bad news came...they couldn\'t prove beyond a doubt that he was guilty, so they put a frightened and scarred little girl back into the hands of a possible abuser for weekend overnight visitations. She was injured at least 4 times (pictures are posted on my mother\'s myspace) and has had 7 urinary tract infections since he has been back in her life (Sept. 07). I spent most of my time (4-5 days per week) pulling her out of school and driving for him to see her 80 miles away. Thi!
s obviously put a strain on my marraige, which is now in limbo as we are seperated. On Valentine\'s Day, I was in another car accident - rear ended at a stop light. So for the last 6 weeks, I have been in and out of the doctors offices for treatments. This is while we are still facing court battles and trying to live a normal life. Then, all of a sudden, my son\'s father is laid off and rent is going unpaid, phones are going unpaid, and the Cadillac breaks down in another city yesterday. I have two beautiful children who deserve to not have to walk to the store and am looking for employment and fighting a very expensive court battle. I guess you could say I need a new car and a legal fund! But through it all, I keep smiling and praying that a miracle is on it\'s way....

I Desperately Need a Decent lace For My Kids to Live!!

While I was pregnant with my now 2-year-old son, I lost my job. My then-fiance, “Samuel“, and I were living together at the time. I was buying a small house and a late-model used car; nothing fancy, but life was pretty good. “Samuel” is disabled and on disability-he cannot work due to a head injury he received 15 years ago. After I lost my job, we were able to hang onto the car for a few months, but then it was repossessed. The house we were able to hang onto for about a year and three months, but it, too, got to be too much, and we lost it in August of 2006, when the baby was 8 months old. At around this time, “Samuel” started drinking very heavily, which caused him to become violent at times. He blamed the stress. Of course, since I had nowhere to go, I had to put my stuff in a storage unit, but since I couldn’t pay the storage rent, I lost everything, including furniture, family heirlooms, my high school and military memorabilia, and, most devastating of al!
l, all my kids\' baby things including pictures and scrapbooks. “Samuel” was able to get into subsidized housing, but I couldn\'t stay there with him drinking, because he had become increasingly more violent with me. Since losing the house, my boys and I have been living alternately with “Samuel“ and various relatives. Then, last summer, my 12-year-old son went to live with his Dad 1500 miles away. He couldn’t take the insecurity. So I lost him, too. Just before Thanksgiving I found out I was pregnant, so “Samuel” and I decided to give it one more go. He had eased up on the drinking and promised not to drink while watching our son, so I got a job, and he watched our son while I was at work. But then the drinking got worse again. He had decided that he was of a certain age and could do whatever he wanted, and no one was going to tell him what he could and could not do. He, again, started to become violent with me, and it eventually got to the point where I wou!
ld have to barricade myself with our son in the bedroom whenever he we
nt out. We finally had to leave him for good after I literally thought he was going to kill me one night right in front of our little boy. I found out he was drinking while \"taking care\" of the baby, and we got into a huge fight. He became both emotionally and physically abusive that night, and I really thought he was going to kill me when he put his hand around my throat and squeezed. So, we left. Right now, we are staying with my parents, and it\'s not working out. There are 4 of us (soon to be 5) in a 2-bedroom trailer which is falling apart, because the landlord never fixes anything, and my Dad can\'t afford anything better. There\'s a leaky pipe under the sink and the oven does not work, the furnace only works when it\'s over 45 degrees outside (and we live in the northern midwest), the cupboards are literally falling off the hinges, and half the electric outlets don\'t work. There\'s a lot more, but you get the idea. My Dad is 60 years old, and supporting us all on !
a minimum wage job. He has an application in for Public Housing, but that takes time. I can\'t get a job to help out because, since I\'m pregnant, no one will hire me, and I have no car, and haven\'t had a permanent address for a year and a half, so it would be hard to find anything anyway. I don\'t get Social Security for my son, because of a problem with the birth certificate, which I am in the process of trying to fix, but that’s going to take a court order and for that I have to hire an attorney…which costs money. We really need to find another place to live, because I can\'t bring a newborn baby back to this place; it\'s bad enough for the 2-year-old. Plus, my parents already can\'t afford us, let alone when there are 3 of us. I need at least $10,000 to get a cheap used car and a decent place for my kids to live. It would be used to pay first and last month\'s rent and security deposit, plus deposits for the gas, electric, and telephone. It would also cover a few!
pieces of used furniture, a few things for the new baby like a crib a
nd clothing, and to pay the bills for the first couple of months until the baby is old enough for daycare, say, 6 weeks, when I can go back to work. Plus, I could hire an attorney to get the two-year-old’s birth certificate fixed so I’d have a small income from Social Security, to get by until I go back to work. I deparately need a car!!!

I am stuck in a vicious circle that I just can\'t seem to get myself out of. I need to work, but I can\'t work if I don\'t have a car to get there. I can\'t get a car if I don\'t have the money to pay for one. I can\'t pay for one if I can\'t get to work. I can\'t work if I don\'t have a car to get there...and so on and so on.
Where I live there is no public transportation and it is too far to walk. I desparately need to work and bring some money home to help support my family and I can\'t do that without a car. Eating and some unpaid util. bills

I am currently a full time student (taking 17 credit hours this semester) to get a degree in Creative Writing. I usually do not believe in getting assistant, not even from our government. I was a ward of the state of Ohio for most of my childhood, and I am not in contact with any family. I haven\'t seen neither parent in more than 10 years. I usually work full time third shift and go to school during the day but I have been doing that for years and I was starting to feel overwhelmed besides devoloping an addiction to caffeine. I gave up working for this semester because I thought I would be able to make it on the little bit of savings I have put back. My saving were about 1,000 dollars but some things have come up and the university has messed up my fees and tution. They are claiming I owe them about 1,000-I have a little more than a month before I am done with school for this year. I have survived an entire month on 15 dollars. I do not have family to go too and I\'m lookin!

Then I\'m going to spend my summer teaching basic art skills to lower income children and living in my friends living room. It\'s a low paying job but it\'s important to me to help others-especially because I have come from there.

Right now, I\'m using the food pantry and everyone I know has paid for a lunch or dinner. Tuition, rent, bus passes

I\'m 18, I moved into an apartment with a friend of my sisters at 17 to start college. I had a job (working at a retail store fixing displays and folding clothes) but was layed off. I haven\'t been able to even get a job at a fast food restaurant. My roommate was, for the last few months, ok with supporting me until I got back on my feet, but our landlord just raised our rent (at an illegal percentage) so she can\'t.
I ride the bus every day to get to school, spending about six dollars a day. I can\'t afford gas, let alone a car.
Tuition at school is 10,000 dollars,
a yearly bus pass is 674 dollars,
and my share of the the rent is 600 dollars.

To keep my head above the water

I am an almost 30 year old single mother of 3 children. (My boyfriend of 9 years just left me). I work full time and go to school full time as well as trying to spend as much time as possible with my children. I have always worked two jobs until starting school last year. I have a house payment of $500/month, car $429/month, about $10,000 in maxed out credit cards, not counting the $15,000 in school loans. I do not get child support and don\'t know what to do. I have worked so hard to get this far in life and now feel I am going to lose it all. The bills are due in a week and I can\'t even buy grogeries. My Education!

I want $50,000 to pay off my school loans and go back to school. I have degrees in general business and accounting, but have not been able to find a job in my \"field\" because of my lack of experience. I have been working as a driving instructor for the last seven years.
